Meet Carly Vollman, LISW-S

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker based in Ohio, with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to support individuals in a wide range of environments—from hospitals and schools to community clinics and inpatient settings. Each of these experiences has deepened my understanding of human behavior and strengthened my belief in the power of connection and quality care.

I often joke that I’m “not good at anything else”—and while that’s not entirely true, this work brings me a sense of purpose and drive that nothing else does. Being there for others through life’s challenges isn’t just my profession, it’s something I am truly energized by. My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing happens within a safe and trusting relationship. I offer therapy from the perspective that it's not about what's wrong with you, but about what’s happened to you.

I specialize in helping individuals and couples navigate trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, attachment wounds, depression, and anxiety. I’m EMDR-trained and currently pursuing certification. I often integrate EMDR, somatic practices, and attachment-based approaches to support deeper healing and nervous system regulation. I’m also Level 1 trained in the Gottman Method and enjoy helping couples build stronger, more connected relationships. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive clinical knowledge and training, but also find importance in bringing my own humility, authenticity and sense of humor into the room. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just trying to make sense of things, I’m here to help you explore, heal, and move forward with greater clarity and self-understanding.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy cooking, gardening, reading, and spending time with my husband and our two young sons. Being a boy mom keeps me on my toes in the best way—and reminds me of the beauty (and chaos) in everyday life.
